Precision Weighing Balances is proud to be one of the few Authorized Distributors in the USA to offer the AND Weighing EK-610J. Not to be confused with the [a href="http://scaleman.com/digital-scale-ek610i-compact-balance.html"]A&D EK-610i[/a] (notice the last character in the model number is "J" verses "i"). The EK-610i is "non-NTEP" while the EK-610J is "NTEP Approved 6000d Class II Scale". The EK-610J is legal for trade and meets the weighing requirements for weighing gold and silver in most states. Always check with your state Weights and Measures Inspector for the most up to date regulations.

The EK-610J was designed by A&D Weighing WITHOUT a functioning serial RS232 interface so you CAN NOT connect the EK610J scale to a computer, printer nor auxiliary display.

The large 7 segment LCD display with backlit is easy to see even in poor lighting. The display has 5 diagonal line printed on the screen for the last decimal place that slightly obscures reading the last digit for Legal for Trade requirements. This is because "e" and "d" are not the same value so the last digit of the display is boxed. The "boxed markings" can not be removed and does slightly obscure your ability to read the last decimal.

Engineered with a five (5) button tactile keypad with positive click so you really know the key was pressed is a big selling point. If you have shopped around for a new scale you might notice many now have touchscreens. Problem with touchscreens is they don't always work well if you have gloves on or your fingers are wet. Tactile keypads don't have these working issues.

The 4 adjustable leveling feet and sprint bubble assists in leveling the scale are the small features most other brand balances leave out. AND Weighing doesn't cut corners and builds a well engineered and designed weighing instrument.

For non legal for trade weighing applications the uses are endless with the AND EK610-J. A great choice for academic, pharmaceutical, drug discovery, genomics and proteomics labs. The affordable price and durability of the EK-610J is ideal for high school and college science classrooms for weighing chemicals, quality control weighing application or formulation of adhesives and epoxies requiring 0.01 gram readability.

Field scientist for weighing small specimens that requires a scale to weigh samples 0.01 grams when outfitted with the optional [a href="http://scaleman.com/ekw09i-battery-pack-weighing-scale-accessory.html"]AND EKW09i scale battery pack[/a] and [a href="http://scaleman.com/compact-balance-accessory-carrying-case-ej12.html"]EJ12 carrying case[/a] is a great choice.

Like every precision weighing device when the EK-610J digital balance is first installed it should be calibrated to ensure accurate weighing results. We offer a full line of calibration weights including the low cost [a href="http://scaleman.com/bench-counting-weighing-balances-calibration-weight-500-gram.html"]500g Class 6 with no cert[/a] to [a href="http://scaleman.com/calibration-weight-500-gram-laboratory-class-2-nvlap-certified-weight.html"]500g Class 1 NVLAP Certified Weight[/a] that can be used with the EJ610J. Every location in the world is positioned differently to "magnetic north" and therefore the acceleration of gravity is slightly different.
