Sartorius Extend ED224S has been discontinued and no longer in production as of May 2013. We have no remaining stock on the ED224S. The Sartorius Extend ED line was phased-out and replaced with the Sartorius [a href="http://scaleman.com/analytical-balance-scale.html"]Secura 224-1S[/a], [a href="http://scaleman.com/sartorius-quintix-laboratory-weighing-balance.html"]Quintix 224-1S[/a] or [a href="http://scaleman.com/laboratory-balance-sartorius-practum.html"]Practum 224-1S[/a]. The Secura, Quintix and Practum balances introduced in 2013 featured an entirely new cutting edge design offering with a touch screen display with graphical user interface. These new touch screen balances are very nice and offer advanced weighing applications, but they are also expensive and for some people they prefer tactile keypad buttons over a touchscreen. In February 2014 Sartorius brought to the marketplace the [a href="http://scaleman.com/sartorius-entris-analtyical-balance.html" title="Sartorius Entris224-1S laboratory balance"]Sartorius Entris224-1S laboratory balance[/a] which is the same platform, housing, weigh sensor and embedded software as the Sartorius Extend except all Entris models are external calibration only for the North American market. The Entris features a new display overlay, new microprocessor and now is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. The overall operation of the Extend and Entris are the same. Now in 2016 Sartorius is finally selling the [a href="http://scaleman.com/laboratory-analytical-balance-calibration-internal.html" title="Sartorius Entris224i-1S Internal Calibration"]Sartorius Entris224i-1S Internal Calibration[/a]. All information displayed below on the Sartorius ED224S is for archival and support purposes only. Sartorius ED224S analytical lab balance is the perfect analytical balance for any laboratory weighing process. This analytical balance has a huge 220 grams weighing capacity with 0.1 milligrams precision. The ED224 comes equipped standard with built-in motorized calibration saving you time and annoyance of having to calibrate the laboratory balance manually with an external calibration weight. The biggest selling point for the ED224S is the lightening fast weighing results. We have never seen a faster balance and you'll get results with a fast response time of 2.5 seconds or less under normal weighing conditions.

Sartorius extend laboratory balances all feature a built-in RS-232 interface enabling you to transfer the weighing results to a computer, plc or printer. The ED224S analytical balance has a large draft shield to lessen against interference keeping your results accurate and to the point. The Sartorius extend analytical balance also has an easy to read back-lit display and simple controls which make it easy to use.

The new achiever for your lab is Sartorius. If you compare the specifications of many lab analytical balances on paper, they all look the same - if you've seen one, you've seen them all. But in the real world there is more to a lab analytical balance than just its technical specifications. The Sartorius ED224S has been specially designed for effective and reliable weighing in daily lab routines. This is where more powerful technology and application oriented operation and features make all the difference.

Ease of use. When you need to get a heavy workload of repetitive applications done fast and reliably, day and day out, the last thing you need is a lab balance so complicated that it causes operating errors and wastes your valuable time as a result. Welcome to your new Extend balance comfort zone: a simple, easy-to-understand control panel, key function assignments and the easy-to-read display are ideal for efficient weighing in your lab. User-friendly operation: short, plain-English text prompts and cursor keys for navigation make it simple for you to configure the balance to meet your individual requirements. Outstanding readouts thanks to the backlit and high-contrast display (height of digits: 15 mm). The level indicator is positioned conveniently right next to the display so that checking whether the balance is level becomes "second nature" to the operator.

The latest technology. Sartorius utilizes 21st century technology, such as the unique robotically etched monolithic weigh cell, which ensures long-term high accuracy. The Sartorius Extend series features the latest powerful microprocessor technology, shortening the response times for faster results. Reliable weighing results, all of the time - even under less than ideal ambient conditions, thanks to the Extend's highly sophisticated digital compensation algorithms.

Sartorius products are manufactured with ISO9001 standards and have the CE mark. Sartorius has been proving their trustworthiness thanks to their top-of-the-line technology that ensures maximum accuracy. Sartorius begin building balances in 1871 and holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the most accurate balance in the world. When you have an excellent reputation and image in the technologically sophisticated field of weighing metrology there is no question Sartorius should be your only choice.

The Sartorius Extend Series consists [a href="http://www.analytical-balance.com/sartorius/sartorius_extend_analytical.html#analytical"]2 Analytical models (4 decimal places)[/a], [a href="http://www.lab-balances.com/sartorius/sartorius_extend_milligram.html#milligram"]4 Milligram Balances (3 decimal places)[/a], [a href="http://www.precision-balances.com/sartorius/sartorius_extend_toploader.html#precision"]5 Precision Balances (2 decimal places)[/a] & [a href="http://www.precision-balance.com/sartorius/sartorius_extend_toploader.html"]3 Precision Scales (1 decimal place)[/a] and you can see the [a href="http://www.balances.com/sartorius/sartorius%2Bcollege%2Bbalances.html"]Complete Extend Series here[/a].

Sartorius is the choice when you need superior weighing technology and Precision Weighing Balances is your source for Sartorius balances at discount prices.

Precision Weighing Balances is your Authorized Sartorius National Dealer. We offer the full line of Sartorius Extend Analytical Balances and you can see the full offering [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/1173#sartorius"]HERE[/a]. Sartorius Entris analytical balances display increments in 0.002 grains divisions. Long-range competitive shooters (600+ yards) always shoot for an edge over their rivals and one way is to shoot very uniform ammo. Weighing charges, bullets and primers to 0.002gn can make shot velocities more uniform within a shot string. Forget those inconsistent low cost strain gauge scales that weigh the same charge differently each time. If you want to win the competition you need every round to the exact kernel.

In the video above we will walk you through the steps to change the default factory setting of grams to grains. once you make these changes your balance will power up each time in the grains mode. In this demonstration we use the Entris224-1S, but the steps are the same for all Sat or ius Entris models. In the video above we demonstrate the Sartorius Entris224-1S analytical balance and how easy calibration is when you purchase the optional calibration mass. The Satorius Entris 4 decimal place balances offer a large draftshield with 3 sliding doors. See the quick settling time as we place [a href="http://scaleman.com/balances/calibration-weights.html"]calibration weights[/a] on the weighing platform. Get a better understanding of what each keypad does and how you can enter into the balance configuration menu to change the factory default setting to better meet your specific weighing requirements. The Sartorius Entris is easy to configure to optimize for your individual weighing application.
