Ohaus AV812 Adventurer Pro SmarText™ is Ohaus’ easy to use embedded balance software that utilizes text prompts to guide users through application use and balance setup. Delivered through a 2 line backlit LCD and clearly marked buttons, SmarText tells you what is going on and what you have to do next.
Utilizing the 2-line LCD, SmarText simultaneously displays weight and application specific information such as percent or count. For example, with one touch of the Function button, SmarText will display application reference information such as average piece weight (APW), while displaying a parts count in the weight display.
Additionally, Adventurer AV812 Pro has been designed with an up-front level indicator eliminating the need to look behind the balance during the leveling process. A quick glance at the up-front level indicator helps to ensure that the balance is level prior to each use. The AV812 portable balance also offers six application modes and can perform in 17 US and international weighing units (mg weigh mode not available).
Ohaus Adventurer Pro AV812 Balance offers 810 grams weighing capacity and precision to 0.01 gram. The large 5.8" x 6.3" weighing platform and ability to operate on either AC adapter or 4 AA batteries makes this a great all purpose portable precision scale.
Since its introduction, the Ohaus Adventurer Pro has continuously set new standards for versatility, performance and value in an affordable precision balance. Adventurer Pro is available in both analytical and precision configurations, in a variety of capacities. The Adventurer Pro line of precision balances offers capacities ranging from 51 x 0.001 grams to 8,100 x 0.1 grams. Before you make your final selection be sure to see the brand newSartorius AZ precision balances featuring 210 to 3100 grams with 0.01gram resolutions. When US government customers call us saying the must comply with the Buy American Act clause the only similar balances we offer to the AV812 that are made in America would be the Sartorius AZ1502, ED2202, or the Scientech SL1000. FAR Part 25.003 requirements state that domestic end products are preferred over foreign end products, and the Ohaus Adventurer is not made in the USA.
