Ohaus Ranger RD35LM precision balance incorporates Mettler-Toledo's MonoBloc measurement technology. The durable cast-aluminum housing is ideal for industrial applications. Ohaus RD35LM features 35000g x 0.1g with a 14" x 9.5" weighing platform.
The Ohaus Ranger line of high-resolution compact bench scales has been upgraded and expanded with new software and models for even better performance in demanding industrial applications. The Ranger High-Resolution line now combines a MFR loadcell with an enhanced microprocessor and updated filtering software for improved performance in the lab, on the production line, or in the field.
Every Ranger features a large, backlit LCD display with fast display of weighing results within 2 seconds, as well as a RS232 port for quick connectivity to printers and systems. For use in applications requiring additional filtering, the Ranger series now includes dynamic weighing software allowing weigh determination where vibration is an issue.
Every Ranger is designed with OHAUS’ easy-to-use software interface, making operation intuitive with a consistent feel across all four Ranger lines: Ranger, Ranger High Resolution, Ranger Count and Ranger Count Plus. No matter the industrial need, there is a Ranger for that application.

Looking for a longer warranty than the one(1) year the Ohaus RD35LM offers? Need a larger weighing platform? The Sartorius CPA34001S (34000g x 0.1g) offers a 3 year warranty, larger 11.7" x 15.6" weighing pan, IP-53 Rating so it is dust protected and also against "sprayed water", LCD display with adjustable backlight to see it in poorly lighted areas like mobile soil testing labs trailers on constructions sites and the linearity is ± 0.2 gram.
Many of the DOT Materials managers are buying the Sartorius CPA since it is made in the USA and they have federal funds requiring them to comply with the Buy American Act clause. FAR Part 25.003 requirements state that domestic end products are preferred over foreign end products, and the Ohaus Ranger is not made in USA.
