Ohaus Voyager VP213CN milligram balance (210g x 0.001g) is your milligram weighing solution no matter how difficult the weighing task.  When you select the Ohaus Voyager milligram lab balance you get advance embedded software including statistics, formulation, statistical QC, differential weighing, density determination and more.  Plus, all Voyager milligram balances come standard with motorized internal calibration - AutoCal™

Ohaus Voyager lab balances calculates the density for you - no calculator or scratch paper needed.  The embedded software allows the Ohaus Voyager balance to store in memory the initial weight in air, then the weight of the object submerged in the liquid (typically distilled water - 1.00 g/ml, but could be glycerin - 1.26 g/ml, 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol 0.81 g/ml).  If you don't understand specific gravity review this example of [a href="http://balances.com/acculab/density%2Bdetermination/specific%2Bgravity.html"]density determination[/a].

Performing density determination inside the draftshield requires the purchase of Ohaus' optional density determination kit.  You could also use the weigh below hook and suspend the sample beneath the balance, but this is not recommended on 0.1mg analytical balances since air turbulence typically interferes with your weighing results.

Ohaus VP213CN is a "Legal for Trade" precision balance and we highly recommend you click the Certificate of Conformance hyperlink below in the balance specification table to fully understand the Ohaus VP213CN limitations.  The Ohaus VP213CN weighing specs are 210g weighing capacity and increments in 1mg increments, but in the NTEP / Legal for Trade mode the increment is only in 0.01g graduations.

One design issue you should be aware of with the Voyager Series when the balance is used in the non-NTEP mode is the inability to disable the use of internal calibration.  The Ohaus line is the only balance we know of that does not allow you to disable the internal calibration.  Where this becomes an issue is most calibration A2LA Certification Calibration companies will NOT calibrate a balance unless the internal calibration can be disengaged.  If your balance is going to require A2LA Certification the [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/857/"]Sartorius CPA323S Milligram Balance[/a] may be a better choice.

Voyager Pro is available in either four Analytical or 12 precision models and you can [a href="#scientific"]see them all here[/a].

All prices listed online at www.balances.com are the lowest we can offer and for those customer's not willing to pay the price for the VP213CN Laboratory Balance all we can offer is an alternative model.  We recommend you click on to any of the milligram balance images to the right and compare the features and specifications.  The VP213CN Ohaus Milligram Balance is a premium top of the line laboratory balance loaded with sophisticated features.  Lower cost alternative milligram balances with internal motorized calibration you might want to review include the [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/145"]Sartorius ED323S-CW(320 g x 0.001 g)[/a], [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/1465"]Acculab Atilon ATL-423-I(420 g x 0.001 g)[/a] or [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/536"]Sartorius GK2202 (440 g x 0.001 g)[/a].

Also maybe consider a milligram balance without internal motorized calibration like [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/962"]Scientech ZSP350 (350 g x 0.001 g)[/a] , [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/171"]Acculab ALC-320.3 (320 g x 0.001 g)[/a] or [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/558"]Sartorius GC2502 (500 g x 0.001 g)[/a].

Many people call us looking for the absolute best value Precision Weighing Balances can offer in a milligram balance and the answer again and again is the [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/558"]Sartorius GC2502[/a].  These customers are not looking for the lowest priced milligram balance, but instead how can they get the most balance for their money relative to the specifications each balance offers.  We believe the value is unmatchable in the GC2502 since you get lightening fast weighing results, 500 grams weighing capacity with 1 milligram readability, high quality 3 door removable draftsheild, included 200 gram external calibration mass and all topped off with a 3 year limited manufacturer warranty.  You can read more about the [a href="http://balance.balances.com/scales/558"]Sartorius GC2502 HERE[/a].
