100 milligram -20 gram Class 1 calibration weight
set (PWB7235-1W) with NVLAP Accredited Certificate. Typical lead time is 7 to 10 business days from the date order is placed to shipping from NVLAP metrology lab.
This weight set includes one (1) 20g, one (1) 10g, one (1) 5g, two (2) 2g, one (1) 1g, one (1) 500mg, two (2 200mg, one (1) 100mg for a total of ten(10) weights. Supplied in a high quality polycarbonate case with a compartment for each weight as well as compartments for a brush, forceps and USB flash drive.
These Class 1
calibration weights are typically used to verify the weighing accuracy for laboratory analytical balances
Troemner ASTM Class 1 weights 1 g and larger are produced from two pieces of material. The body of the weight is one piece and the knob of the weight is the second piece. The knob has a thread that screws into the body and is tightened. There is a cavity below the knob thread in the body which contains adjusting material, typically the same material from which the weight is made. Weights 500 mg and below are made of sheet metal and are one-piece construction with one side turned up to make them easy to handle with forceps. Corners and edges are smooth. The nominal value of each weight is etched or stamped on the top surface of the weight and their shape is square.
All surfaces are polished to a perfect, mirrorlike finish and conform to specifications in ANSI/ASTM E617. For ANSI/ASTM E617 surface finish specifications see the Mass Standards Handbook.
Class 1 weights can be used to calibrate certain Class I and Class II balances and scales as specified in OIML R 76. Class 1 weights can also be used to calibrate Class 2 weights.
• This Troemner weight set is supplied with a durable polypropylene cases with a compartment for each weight within the case. There is also a compartment for forceps. The case is designed so that each weight will stay in its compartment.
• Troemner supplies appropriate lifting devices such as forceps, gloves sufficient to handle every weight in the set.
Certificate of Calibration - The Certificate of Calibration includes everything found in a Report of Traceability with the additional information listed below:
Test conditions temperature, barometric pressure, humidity.
Conventional Mass Correction
Uncertainty of the measurement
Identification of the balance used in the calibration as found value if an adjustment is performed assumed density of the weight
material weight is made from Pass/Fail result of magnetic testing
Volume of the weight
Cubical Coefficient of expansion
True Mass correction
Difference between Traceability and Certificate of Calibration?
The major difference between the Report of Traceability and the Calibration Certificate is the Report of Traceability is a tolerance test and is only available for new weights. The Certificate of Calibration is a full report of the parameters tested. Above we outline what comes with each report. The Certificate of Calibration will, however, give a smaller uncertainty and a more precise value of the actual mass due to the multiple measurements that are made during the calibrating process. If you require a accredited laboratory certificate to meet ISO/IEC 17025 & ANSI/NCSC Z540-1 the you need a NVLAP Certificate of Calibration.

All calibration weights are not returnable. Once your order has been placed it CAN NOT be cancelled. Please carefully consider this prior to placing your order. The reason for this is these weights are custom manufactured.
